Aggregate, sand, and gravel
Because of their ability to withstand extremely heavy, sharp, and abrasive material, Fortress XP industrial conveyor belts are used to move aggregate, sand, and gravel at quarries.

Conveyor belts, power transmission belts, and hose assembly equipment for aggregate operations.
Explore Continental VersaFlex and Fortress XP conveyor belts, Conti V® Torque Team belts, and the Continental Shop In A Box hose crimp solution.
Four Continental product lines for aggregate operations.

When your name is on the line, reliability isn't optional.
In material conveyance, your name travels with every load. That's why VersaFlex was engineered to carry more than material. Its lightweight carcass and single-ply design delivers toughness and efficiency, with exceptional rip and tear resistance.
Because when your name's on the line, the belt better hold up.
According to Continental:

Is your belt tough enough?
Industrial conveyor belts for the most demanding applications.
According to Continental, Fortress XP Industrial Conveyor Belts are manufactured with its Fortress Technology for exceptional performance in the most demanding conditions. Continental says Fortress XP belts protect your operations from costly unscheduled conveyor belt changeouts and deliver a remarkably low cost-per-ton in overall operational costs.
Continental Fortress XP fabric-reinforced conveyor belts are used across quarry, cement, and mining operations.
Because of their ability to withstand extremely heavy, sharp, and abrasive material, Fortress XP industrial conveyor belts are used to move aggregate, sand, and gravel at quarries.
The cement industry requires conveyor belts that will withstand highly abrasive material and hot temperatures. According to Continental, Fortress XP conveyor belts meet the requirements.
In coal, hard rock, and other mining operations, conveyor belts are used to transport raw materials quickly over long distances. Continental Fortress XP conveyor belts can be configured to meet the long distance needs of the largest mining operations.

Aramid tension members for high-tension drives.
According to Continental, Conti V® Torque Team Supreme belts are its highest capacity V-belts and are known for strength, durability and performance.
According to Continental, they stand up to high-horsepower, high-tension drive requirements and abusive installations.
The tension members are Aramid cords, twisted from Aramid fiber, then treated for improved adhesion, improved flex life and increased resistance to shrinkage.
The cushion material is made of a highly engineered compound that resists harsh operating environments and compression fatigue. The wrapped construction is rubber compound-impregnated to protect the carcass from abrasion, heat, ozone and oil. Together, these components offer a strong, flexible and efficient belt with extended service life.
According to Continental:

Polyester tensile cords with a cogged, raw edge construction.
Conti VX® Torque Team Advance belts are built with polyester tensile cords. These provide the high-strength, high-horsepower rating capacity needed to effectively transmit drive power.
Conti VX® Torque Team Advance belts are available in a raw edge construction with cogs for increased flexibility and heat dissipation, and have heavy duty belt construction. The cogs also provide a larger surface area to dissipate heat and prolong belt life.
According to Continental:

Built to tolerate misalignment.
Conti V® Torque Team belts are built with strong, durable polyester tension members. This provides the high strength, high-horsepower rating capacity needed to effectively transmit drive power. According to Continental, the tension members are tough enough to tolerate the misalignment that quickly destroys belts.
The polyester tension member material has very good dimensional stability. According to Continental, drive performance is consistent, reliable and predictable over the life of the belt. Continental then tops the belt off with a tough oil- and abrasion-resistant fabric backing to provide maximum longitudinal flexibility and lateral strength to withstand the dynamic forces acting within a joined belt. The backing also has special adhesion characteristics that enable it to bond to the V sections to maintain the unitary integrity of the belt.
The cushion material in both wrapped and raw-edge construction is fiber-loaded. Raw-edge constructions have a fiber-loaded, latest-technology compound that contributes to heat and oil resistance, as well as strength and durability.
