The bore seal prevents the build-up of negative pressure that can cause the entry of water through the main seals.
Water-Resistant AQGRD R1 Grease
Developed specifically for use with Sealed-Clean Four-Row Tapered Roller Bearings, NSK's long-life water-resistant grease, AQGRD R1, is elevated in base oil viscosity with special water-resistant additives.

Application: work roll bearings, tandem cold rolling mill (4-high). In a field test, NSK bearings lubricated with AQGRD R1 grease delivered twice the operating life of conventional sealed roll neck bearings, resulting in over 1 million tons of output.
