Synflex Optimum® Thermoplastic Hoses and Fittings
Lighter and more flexible than wire-braided rubber hoses, without sacrificing pressure performance.
Explore Danfoss thermoplastic hose and fitting products available through Applied®. Designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions and high abrasion applications, these solutions support equipment across construction, material handling, agriculture, and industrial industries.
Thermoplastic Performance at a Glance
Synflex Optimum delivers the same working pressures as wire-braided rubber hose at roughly half the weight.

Engineered by Danfoss.
Trusted as Synflex Optimum.
Synflex Optimum, the thermoplastic hydraulic hose line from Danfoss, is designed to route tighter, weigh less, and hold up to the fluids and environments mobile and industrial equipment see in the field.
Where traditional wire-braided rubber hose relies on mass and stiffness to hold pressure, Synflex Optimum uses a thermoplastic composition that delivers the same working pressures at roughly half the weight. That difference matters on a machine: lighter hose is easier to route and install, puts less strain on clamps and fittings, and draws less power from the systems that move it.
Danfoss also thermoforms Synflex Optimum hose to match your system's exact routing, and supplies it in long continuous lengths, which means fewer couplings, less scrap, and fewer potential leak points across a production run.
Every product on this page is compatible with the widely used 4TA-series and 1A/Z-series fitting families, so assembly teams can standardize tooling across conductive and non-conductive hose alike.
Built-in Advantages of Thermoplastic Construction
What Synflex Optimum thermoplastic construction brings to the hydraulic lines on your equipment.
Easier Routing
The TPU/polyester cover cuts routing force by up to 50% and improves kink resistance.
Built to Last Outdoors
Resists ozone, UV exposure, and general aging.
About Half the Weight
Versus wire-braided rubber hose, reducing installation effort and vehicle power draw.
Custom Thermoforming
Shapes hose to match system routing exactly.
Long Continuous Lengths
Reduces scrap and coupling junctions, reducing leak points.
Chemical Resistance
Composition resists absorbing oils and hydraulic fluids.
Quieter Operation
Reduces machine noise.
System Cleanliness
Won't degrade or contaminate filters and valves.
Find the Right Synflex Optimum Hose
Choose from SAE 100R7, 100R8, and 100R18 rated hose, in conductive and non-conductive constructions.
3TR7 and 3TR7N Hoses
The 3TR7 is Synflex Optimum's core SAE 100R7 conductive hose: a nylon inner tube, nonstick polyurethane/polyester cover, and 1-ply textile braid reinforcement built for general hydraulic transfer applications where routing flexibility matters as much as pressure rating.
- SAE 100R7 rating, conductive construction
- Nylon inner tube
- Nonstick polyurethane/polyester cover
- 1-ply textile braid reinforcement
3TR7N: non-conductive
3TR7N delivers the same SAE 100R7 rating and the identical pressure, size, and bend-radius performance as 3TR7, in a non-conductive construction. An orange cover provides fast visual identification of non-conductive hose on the shop floor or in the field, reducing the chance of mis-installation on circuits where electrical isolation matters.
3TR8 and 3TR8N Hoses
Where a system needs more headroom, 3TR8 steps up to a SAE 100R8 rating with a nylon/polyamide inner tube, polyurethane cover, and 2-ply textile braid reinforcement, delivering a higher pressure class than 100R7 while keeping the routing advantages of thermoplastic construction.
- SAE 100R8 rating, a higher pressure class than 100R7
- Nylon/polyamide inner tube
- Polyurethane cover
- 2-ply textile braid reinforcement
3TR8N: non-conductive
3TR8N brings the same SAE 100R8 rating and pressure, size, and bend-radius performance as 3TR8 to applications that require electrical isolation.
3TR18CT Hoses
3TR18CT is built to a SAE 100R18 rating with a polyester inner tube, nonstick perforated polyester cover, and 2-ply textile braid reinforcement. It holds a fixed working pressure of 3,050 psi and a consistent 4:1 burst safety factor across every size, giving it a wider operating range than the 3TR7 and 3TR8 families, down to -65°F.
- SAE 100R18 rating
- 3,050 psi fixed working pressure
- 4:1 burst safety factor across every size
- Operating range down to -65°F
